Location: Malsej Ghat (Kalyan)
Start Point: Mumbai
It was Raining and we were planning for a bike trip. Malsej Ghat was the destination we planned to roll. A day before rolling, we got all the possible stuff required and set the whole mood of our ride. 4 Riders and 4 bikes, it just made us boost as we could ride harder without a pillion. We all met at X point in Mumbai at 6am and planned the riding sequence.
When we started, roads were dry so we planned to ride hard with minimum halts to cover maximum distance on dry roads. Malsej Ghat is 129 Km’s away from Mumbai. With no internet and GPS, the only people who could have guided us out of Kalyan city were the local people. We were been directed to wrong path couple of times and later a man with GPS knowledge guided us on the right path.
When we had almost covered 65% of one way trip, we were almost entering Malsej Ghat. It was like almost a village with pot holes. After completing the road full of task the next thing that happened just amazed us. It was like Heaven on earth and we are riding towards it.
Words can’t explain how beautiful the nature was. Roads were simply amazing, no pot holes. Just couple of speed breaks at required spots. We were riding at a consistent speed and heading towards our destination. It was pouring and we rode on the amazing MOTO GP kinda curves which din’t get over even when we reached Malsej Ghat. The Heavenly path(road) extends beyond Malsej Ghat which is our next target. The fun part was, water splashed by our leader were all over the followers, all we had to do is wipe our visor’s and ride again J. We had almost completed 90% of our 1 way ride. That last 10% was our Chumeshwari ride.
“Those Curves on roads and 45 degree angle on our bike just made us feel why it was worth riding to Malsej Ghat”. We just prayed that this road never ends but in the end we reached to our Destination. It was like ‘WOW’, such beautiful place, amazing climate, it was drizzling, Clouds were passing us, I couldn’t have asked anything more than this on our trip. As it was cold out there, we had ‘Garam wada pav’ with ‘Chai’.[rev_slider gbm-malsej-ghat]
If you are planning for a trip, I would suggest ‘Malsej Ghat’.
