The TATA’s not just showcased the future but also presented the current offering in the form of TATA TIAGO JTP & TIGOR JTP. The TIAGO JTP and TIGOR JTP are the performance versions of the ongoing models with upgrades to its current 1.2 ltr engine and by adding a turbocharger to it. Yes, the JTP versions now come with a 1.2 ltr TURBOCHARGED petrol engine which churns out 109 BHP which is a hell lot of power to a car of this size and when I say it’s a lot of power, I am quite serious about it.
The initial TOYOTA INNOVA model which is an 8 seater, came with approximately 102 bhp of power. Imagine how much power this engine will produce and a healthy TORQUE of 150 NM. We think the ground clearance for the JTP version seems reduced a bit and that’s all about the technical aspects.
At the exterior, you get smoked projector headlamps, sporty looking revised bumper and the JTP tag on the grille. There is also a small air scoop or an air vent, whatever you want to call it, on the left hand side of the bonnet which makes the JTP versions stand apart from the ongoing version. Both the TIAGO & TIGOR JTP versions share the same kits. The front bumper is the same and both these cars gets side skirts and black roof adding to its sporty style. But, at the rear is where it makes difference. The rear bumper of the TIAGO JTP is slightly different than that of TIGOR JTP but both have diffusers and twin barrel silencers.
One thing that they retained is the size of the alloys. It is the same, 15′ inch wheels as on the ongoing model but the diamond cut alloys give it a more enhanced look. The interior has been touched a bit. Both the cars get leather seat covers and steering to give you that sporty feeling and to feel the rush you get the amazing 8 speakers HARMAN infotainment system.
So the ones who are looking for a daily practical no nonsense ride can choose the TATA TIGOR or TIAGO and someone who is looking out for a fun car to drive with a mix of both performance and mileage can opt for the JTP versions of TIAGO & TIGOR.
