Tata also showcased its H5X Concept giving an idea how their future SUV will be like. Look at the huge wheel arches, the fenders, the bumper all that you see is just muscle and we like it and also are crazy for these kinds of SUV’s. The RENAULT DUSTER is the testimony to that and TATA MOTORS have understood the sentiments a bit late. But better late than never.
The front has the similar looking smiling grille which you see on the 45X concept and this grille design is something one should expect for future TATA cars. The grille and the headlights are well integrated again here. As you see, the LED Headlights are a bit different from the TATA 45X concept and the car also gets a sump guard. The bumper is well designed and looks more muscular due to those molds which depict the sump guard. The side profile is impressive as well.
Being an SUV, its design has got everything in it. Big bulging wheel arches. However, it does not come with a roof rail. Maybe it will get one later. The IMPACT 2.0 design makes sure that you don’t just end up admiring just the front and side profile but the rear too looks like the 45X concept the design of the spoiler is sharper and edgy. The tailgate cutting in and the bumper again cutting out, the tail light seems to have taken inspiration from the JAGUAR and the exhaust is well integrated with the rear bumper and again molds added to give the bumper a masculine look. Talking about the futuristic design, it would foolish to not upgrade the cabin.
Looking at the initial pictures, the instrument cluster seems to be an all in all DIGITAL DISPLAY and no analog meters. Here the TACHO, SPEEDO, FUEL, ENGINE TEMPERATURE and all other info are digital. With that, you get a DIGITAL TOUCHSCREEN INFOTAINMENT, as well as the H5X, gets an AUTOMATIC HVAC with DIGITAL controls and the only knob that you see is at the center console and is believed to be used for selecting the driving modes.
This beast seems to be an automatic one but we are not yet sure. Let’s wait for the TATA’s to pull that rabbit out of that hat. Now for the H5X, Tata has given two options to go with. As far as the engine is concerned, it can either go with the 1.5 ltr REVOTORQ engine which powers the NEXON or it can power the 2.0 ltr diesel engine from its former partner FIAT. Talking about its dimension, H5X is 4575 mm in length and 1960 mm in width. The H5X has a wheelbase of 2140 mm that means a really good cabin space for passengers and it stands tall at the height of 1686 mm.
To sum it all, the H5X is based on the OMEGA Platform (OPTIMAL MODULAR EFFICIENT GLOBAL ADVANCED) which is well inherited from the LAND ROVER which helps the design suite all the challenges thrown at it in different geographical condition. The H5X is meant to tackle the needs and challenges of Indian buyers and we would really love to see the TATA’s move to HYBRID TECH with 45X and H5X concept. The 45X and H5X is the thing of the future but the present answer is the TATA TIAGO JTP and TIGOR JTP.
